NSWPSSA Athletics

Our relay team achieved an outstanding result at the NSWPSSA Athletics, taking 1st place with a time of 57.34 and setting a new record. Congratulations to our gold medal winners on this incredible achievement!

Our Small Schools cricket team is progressing well in the NSWPSSA Knockout competition. On Tuesday, the team won the Riverina division, defeating Holbrook. This means our Riverina champions will now compete in the quarter finals on Friday in Young, where they will play Bowral.

K-2 students had a fantastic time at the Whitton Malt House. They went to Whitton Malt House and had lots of fun fishing and playing golf, and we’ve heard excellent reviews about their lunch. On Friday, K-2 visited the museum, the post office, the Big Tennis Racket, and many other interesting places in Barellan.

Swan Hill

Year 3-6 students went to Swan Hill for their end-of-year excursion. We did a range of interesting activities at the Pioneer Settlement, from blacksmithing to churning butter, making rope, and even dressing up in old-fashioned clothes. There was so much to look at and explore, and most of the things there were over 100 years old. It gave us a real sense of what life was like long ago.

The whole school went to Temora for another great excursion. At the Aviation Museum, we saw planes from the wars that were used for training and fighting. Each plane had a different purpose and story. We even saw a plane take off and land—twice! I think the second time was to make sure we really saw how it worked. The fastest plane there could fly at 1126 kilometres an hour. After that, we went to the Temora Museum, which was a little bit like a pioneer village. We learned about how things like the fire truck and ambulance have changed over time. We saw old tractors and headers, as well as the old school, a cottage, and even the place where Donald Bradman grew up.

Stage 3 RIEN Spelling Bee Champion.

RIEN (Rural and Innovative Education Network), which includes Naradhan, Rankins Springs, Weethalle, Tallimba and Euabalong West, is a fantastic collaboration between small schools to provide our regional students with rich opportunities in sport, creative arts, spelling, public speaking, science days and more.

Students will travelled to Naradhan Public School to join Weethalle, Tallimba, Eubablong West, Rankins Springs students for a Creative Arts Day, featuring a Circus Challenge show, mural painting, and a Musica Viva performance.
